Our Red Cedar incense comes from a stockpile of old wood, held for years by the monastery that produces it.

Found on the windswept and remote coastal islands to the south eastern seas of Korea, this unique wood was once collected to the point of becoming a threatened species. Now protected, the slow growing Cedar endemic to the island is now strictly regulated and no longer available for harvest.
